Life is Like this - Biannual 2010

The Life is like this exhibition featured a selection of artworks by disabled artists working in Merseyside and the North West. It explored the alchemy of disability and everyday life, featuring tales of disability, art and transformation. Through their work , disabled artists and their friends told stories about how impairment impacts on our culture.

The purpose of the LILT exhibition was to show that disabled people are like everybody else, with the same hopes, fears and dreams, and that the biggest barrier they face is not a physical one but the barrier constucted in the minds of people.

The exhibition was supported by funding from Liverpool city council and the 2010 year of health and wellbeing.
