Marie Mynall
Marie
Marie Mynall has worked in the arts scene in Merseyside for many years, both as a teacher and artist.
She holds two Bachelors degrees. One in Russian, Philosophy and Chinese Culture from Durham, and a First Class in Fine Art from Liverpool John Moore.
She creates sculptures and installations using a variety of recycled materials, painting, drawing, photography, text and any other appropriate media that comes to hand. As well as the UK, she has also exhibited in Melbourne as part of the Platform Exhibition in 2004.
Marie, among other things, currently does art workshops for 8-15 year-olds at the Williamson Art Gallery, Birkenhead. Her installation work at the last Liverpool Biennial was highly popular and her huge experience with workshops for both adults and children, are of great value to DP2, particularly in terms of Marie's ability to facilitate the concepts of disabled people into realisation and ensure that always, first and foremost, workshops focus on the individuals taking part, not the supervisors. Marie is highly versatile, working in most areas of 2D and 3D arts practice and is also skilled in DTP.
